Patriots Baseball 14u was hurt by a number of miscues in the field. Patriots Baseball 14u committed three errors which led to two unearned runs for Tri State Arsenal Blue.
Patriots Baseball 14u jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. A double by Spencer Shields, bringing home Jarrett Wright started the inning off. Patriots Baseball 14u then tacked on more runs when Shields scored on a sacrifice fly by Justin Gilvin.
Tri State Arsenal Blue stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring five runs on a three-run double by Holland, a walk by Zachary Gakeler, and a wild pitch.
Tri State Arsenal Blue tacked on another four runs in the third. A clutch sacrifice fly scored Chris Jones to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Julius Saporito's double, scoring Shinn.
Two Patriots Baseball 14u runs crossed the plate in the bottom half of the fourth, making the score 10-6. An RBI single by Justin Graczyk and a walk by Will Mapes triggered Patriots Baseball 14u's comeback. Finally, Shinn induced an inning-ending strike out from Gilvin.
