Thursday was a rough outing for Evan Rowlinson, but Georgia Roadrunners still managed to pull out an 8-7 victory over Chain Baseball South in eight innings at Jet Blue Player Development Complex, Field two.
Rowlinson allowed five in 4 2/3, but the bullpen gave up one run and the offense banged out 12 to pick up the slack and secure the win for Georgia Roadrunners.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to 13 lead changes in the game.
Jahmai Jones racked up two RBIs on three hits for Georgia Roadrunners. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.
Michael Curry got the win in relief for Georgia Roadrunners. Curry pitched three innings and allowed one run.
Chain Baseball South jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
Chain Baseball South tied the game in the third on a passed ball that scored Dusty Baker.
Georgia Roadrunners matched its two-run sixth inning with two more in the eighth. In the sixth, Georgia Roadrunners scored on an error, bringing home Moore.
