Wednesday wasn't a banner performance for Justin Miranda, but Hardcore Baseball 18U Red still managed to pull out a 10-6 victory over Team IMPACT-Collier County in six innings at Jet Blue Player Development Complex, Field two.
Miranda let up six in 5 1/3, but the bullpen allowed no runs and the offense banged out seven to help secure the win for Hardcore Baseball 18U Red.
Tom Ordiales racked up four RBIs on three hits for Hardcore Baseball 18U Red. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.
Riley Sanders had a short outing, lasting only two innings on the rubber for Team IMPACT-Collier County before being pulled. Sanders surrendered three hits and five runs.
The top of the first saw Team IMPACT-Collier County take an early lead, 3-0. Team IMPACT-Collier County got a spark in the form of a Leo Rill triple, before before Austin Langham singled, scoring Rill. More runs came home for Team IMPACT-Collier County when Langham scored on an RBI single by Brendan Long and Long scored on a passed ball.
The game's last lead went to Hardcore Baseball 18U Red thanks to a second inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on an RBI double by Ordiales, a groundout by Bryan Prieto, and a hit by pitch.
Hardcore Baseball 18U Red increased its lead with four runs in the third. Ordiales singled, scoring Michael Rodriguez and William Weiss to start the inning. That was followed up by Alex Bravo's single, bringing home Prieto and Ordiales.
Three runs in the top of the sixth helped Team IMPACT-Collier County close its deficit to 10-6. An RBI single by Rill and a two-run double by Long triggered Team IMPACT-Collier County's comeback. Hardcore Baseball 18U Red closed the game out when Jeremy Sinski got Ryan Withstandley to ground out.
