Welcome, Beta users!

"GC Beta" is a separate app from "GC"

The beta app is named "GC Beta" and is a separate application from the standard scorekeeping application "GC". They both save data to our production server, but each keeps its own copy of internal data. So if you start scoring a game in one and then switch to the other, the second will not have any of the new data.

Installation Instructions for iOS4 devices

Jump to iOS3 instructions

1. Get your iPhone 'Provisioned' by GameChanger to run the Beta app

   1. Go to the iPhone App Store, on your phone or in iTunes, and search for the Ad Hoc Helper. Download this (free) app to your phone, or download it in iTunes and sync.
      • 'Ad Hoc' is how Apple iPhone applications are distributed before they are put into the iTunes store
      • The 'Ad Hoc Helper' reads the UDID (Universal Device Identifier) from your iPhone and sends it to us
      • With your UDID, we will then be able to register your iPhone with Apple as a GameChanger Beta customer.
   2. Open Ad Hoc Helper on your iPhone, and it will prompt you for an email to send your information to. Input 'beta@GameChanger.io', and send.
   3. We must manually enable your phone to run the GameChanger application, and we'll let you know when it's done.
   4. Only once you receive the authorization email from GameChanger, proceed to step #2.

2. Install provision file

   You will only need to perform this step one time after you have been authorized in step 1.
   1. In Mobile Safari on your device, tap on the "iOS4: gcbeta.mobileprovision" link above.
   2. On the subsequent page, tap on the "Install" button.

3. Install the IPA file

   1. In Mobile Safari on your device, tap on the "iOS4: Install GC Beta App" link above.
   2. On the subsequent alert, tap the "Install" button.

Installation Instructions for iOS3 devices

1. Get your iPhone 'Provisioned' by GameChanger to run the Beta app

   1. Go to the iPhone App Store, on your phone or in iTunes, and search for the Ad Hoc Helper. Download this (free) app to your phone, or download it in iTunes and sync.

2. Download the IPA file

   1. Right-click the "iOS3: gcbeta_2.15.1.0.ipa" link above
   2. Click "Save As" or "Download Linked File As"
   3. Save this file to your Desktop or Documents folder

3. Open iTunes Applications window

   1. Check to see if 'Applications' is a visible option under 'LIBRARY' on the left
   2. If not, go to Settings, and check off 'Applications' to make it visible
   3. Click on Applications to navigate to the Applications area

4. Drag the .ipa file into your iTunes Applications window

   1. You should see a 'plus' sign next to it while dragging it over iTunes

5. Sync your iPhone!
