Official Scoring Team

We encourage any user to create a GameChanger team and utilize our scorekeeping and stat management tools. As a result of this open platform, there may be several versions of the same team.

GameChanger is beta testing solutions to establish authenticity of teams so fans can easily trust that the teams they follow will provide consistent game data.

Official GameChanger teams will be marked with an official tag in search results and on team home pages.

GameChanger reserves the right to contact a team's head coach to confirm that it is an official team.

GameChanger is pleased to offer our users several levels of team-specific features:

Inside Access to all GameChanger teams created before noon EST on Thursday, May 6, 2010 will remain free for fans forever. This is the least we can do to thank you for helping us improve our product during the Spring 2010 beta program.

Features Comparison

GameChanger is pleased to offer our admins the ability to purchase Inside Access Coupons for fans. Coupons can be purchased in packages of 3 or 10 and then distributed to team fans.

Once a coupon is redeemed, a fan will enjoy all the benefits of Inside Access including:

• live streaming box scores and expanded box scores
• live streaming and post-game play-by-play updates
• expanded season-to-date statistics
• player game logs (expanded stats by game)
• player spray charts
• ...plus more Inside Access features coming soon

What's a "Beta"?

"Beta is a nickname for software which has passed the alpha testing stage of development and has been released to users for software testing before its official release. Beta testing allows the software to undergo usability testing with users who provide feedback, so that any malfunctions these users find in the software can be reported to the developers and fixed."

Which Password?

This will be the password you use when accessing your GameChanger account in the future.

League Names

League names help fans find their team.

• For the current beta release, each League name entered becomes unique.
• When establishing a League name, Administrators are encouraged to provide as much detail as possible, e.g. "Savino County Little League Majors Division".

Why do we require Postal Codes for GameChanger teams?

GameChanger users can find teams to follow simply by searching by postal code. We will also be grouping teams by postal code region on our scoreboards.

What are external links?

If teams have pages on sites other than GameChanger such as Weplay.com, links to those sites may appear here, and clicking them will take you off of the GameChanger site. We have no control or influence over the content found on outside sites, but provide these links as a convenience.

Enter the final score for games completed in the past.

Blank box scores will automatically created for past completed games with scores.

Optional: Admins may add or edit statistics to any game box score by clicking Add or Edit in the "Box Score" column.

There are currently three GameChanger user roles.

Administrators

Administrators have full website administration and editing capabilities for their team and set the privacy settings for player stats.

• They can also grant "Admin" permission to up to 2 other team followers.
• In order to score a team game, a scorekeeper must be logged into the mobile scorekeeping application as a team administrator.
• The original creator of a GameChanger team is made an Admin by default.

Fans

Fans have "read-only" capabilities on a team's GameChanger website.

• Fans can view season stats, player game logs and spray charts.
• Fans cannot view next game's lineup, and cannot edit rosters or schedules.

Users

Registered Users have limited "read-only" capabilities on GameChanger teams that they are not Fans of.

• Users can view team rosters, schedules and box scores, and the team's FanBase.
• "Non-Fan" Users cannot view player stats, game logs or spray chart data. Users must become Fans for access to statistics outside of individual box scores.

Completed Games

Differences between "Unfinished" and "Final"

A scored game's statistics do not become official in the GameChanger scorebooks until the Scorekeeper or Admin finalizes the game.

• When a scored game is over, the Scorekeeper clicks [End Game], which makes the game "Final".
• If [End Game] is not selected within 30 minutes of the last scored play, the game is marked "Unfinished" and denoted by this orange 'carrot symbol': ^
• Unfinished games can also be made "Final" on the GameChanger website by authorized Admins.

Effect on Season Statistics and Spray Charts

Individual game statistics do not count towards season statistics until its box score is finalized and made "official". Additionally, 'Exhibition' game statistics are viewable only if selected from the Game Type drop-down menu. 'Exhibition' games never count towards season statistics or standings.

Box Score Admin Tools

This is the Administrator's toolset for modifying properties and statistical aspects of a particular game.

Click on:
• to change the final home and/or away scores. Score changes do not cascade into the linescore and box score.
• to permanently revert a game's box score to its original state (this change cannot be undone!). Season-to-date statistics will be affected.
• to change game date/time, opponent name, location, and game type (Exhibition, Preseason, Tournament, etc).
• to permanently remove a game from your team's schedule (this change cannot be undone!). Season-to-date statistics and team record will be affected.
• to mark the game as "Final" and make the game statistics count towards season-to-date totals.

Explaining "Other" actions for "My Teams"

Administrators

• A co-Admin may safely Unfollow a team if there will be Admin(s) remaining.
• Admins may not Delete a team if that team has Fans.
• Admins may Delete their team only if it has zero Fans.

Fans

• A team Fan may Unfollow that team at any point.
• Upon un-following, all alerts (email and premium SMS) for that team are de-activated until re-follow.
• Fans may request to [Become an Admin] if the team does not already have three admins; whereas on approval s/he can edit rosters, lineups, schedules, and statistics.
